DIY Toilet Paper Roll Owls / Monsters
I made these out of toilet paper rolls and plastic bottles. I originally posted only the owls on Tumblr. However, the monsters are made in the exact same way. Here's how you can make your own.
What you need:
Toilet paper rolls
Plastic bottles (I used Sir Fruit bottles)
Scissors / cutter
Paint
Paint brush / sponge
Marker
Glue (Optional)
What to do:
Cut plastic bottle at the top. You won't be needing the bottom part for this project. Make sure the top part is big enough to hold and balance the toilet roll. Also, make sure to smoothen out the edges.
Paint it black (Or whatever colour you prefer).
Fold the top of the toilet roll to the shape of the top of the owl / monsters head (see pictures above).
Paint the toilet roll to whatever colour you want your owl or monster to be.
Draw and decorate the face of your owl/ monster. You could draw any animal, creature or person that you want to. The possibilities are endless.
Attach the toilet roll figure to the top of the bottle that you have painted. If you used a Sir Fruit bottle like I have, you will notice that the toilet roll fits securely onto the bottle top without the use of any glue. If you are using any other bottle, this might not be possible. In that case, you should use glue to secure the toilet roll to the bottle.
