DIY Toilet Paper Roll Train
I made this in 2015. It is made out of paper and toilet rolls. I used paper clips to link the carriages together. This was originally posted on my Simply DIY Tumblr blog. Click here to see the original. See the instructions below to learn how to make your own.
What you need:
Toilet paper rolls x5
Paper
Cardboard (Optional)
Scissors / cutter
Paint
Paint brush / sponge
Paper clips
Glue
What to do:
Take one of the toilet rolls and cut it in half.
Cut one of the halves into half again.
Paint the toilet paper rolls in different colours.
Once the paint is dry, take the cut toilet roll pieces and fold them in half.
Now cut a semi-circle at the ends of the cut pieces. Make sure that they can fit on the flat round side of the toilet roll.
Glue the cut pieces onto the whole pieces like in the picture above.
Cut out a rectangular piece of paper and glue it to the bottom side of the main carriarb toilet roll. This is optional to add more character to the train. You can decorate it however you want to.
Use paper clips to link the carriages together. Do this by making holes at the open ends of the toilet rolls and link the paper clips into these holes. (See picture for reference)
